When leadlight windows weren't fashionable about 17 years ago, as people were prefering to build comtemporary houses and were more into architectual glass. I bought a Kiln and started experimenting with fusing and slumping, I created a range of functional glassware which I sold down the east coast of Australia and Adelaide, to many different shops, interior designers, galleries. I then also created a jewellery range, which I was also selling in Australia. I traveled overseas and sold my jewelery in the UK and USA. I have been displaying my work in Exhibtions over many years, which have been very successful. My latest work is in Pate de Verre, which is quite labour intensive, but a beautiful piece when finished.
I have a glass addiction, so my only medium is with different types of glass. I have also done a painting and staining glass workshop in Victoria.

My latest creations in glass is in Pate de Verre, which means glass paste in French. I walk out into the garden and pick some leaves or a bowl, I then crush the glass into little frits. I do wax moulds of the pieces I want to create in the lead crystal glass. From that I make a plaster mould and steam the wax out, after that I paint the different colours of glass into the mould. Then the work is fired in the kiln at high temperatures. I cross my fingers and hope that the piece will work, so I either smile or cry.
I live in a beautiful environment near the ocean and in the home of trees and nature is all around me. So I definitely get inspired by where I live.
